LITTLE SMILES PRESCHOOL

  My experience as a licensed childcare provider allowed me the opportunity to learn from the children I had the privilege of caring for. I learned that young children are eager to learn new things each and every day. After years as a childcare provider, I realized that my favorite part of the day was the daily lesson. This is when I made the decision to transition from childcare to education. My years of experience working with children along with my education in Early Childhood Education have prepared me to provide a quality education to young children. Teaching is my passion and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to do what I love each day.  

            My initial career path led me to a degree Accounting but I have always loved kids, nurturing and taking care of them. I always had a dream of being a Preschool Teacher. Fate would have it that I became friends with Veronica who owned a daycare, so I got to test the waters. This led me back to school to obtain my Child Development Associate so we could transition the daycare into a preschool. Teaching was the aspect we were both most passionate about. This is the seventh year at the preschool and I can honestly say that I love my job! There is nothing more rewarding than to see the look on a child's face the first time they realize they've learned to do something they'd been trying to accomplish.
